Curcurbita – For naturally healthy aquarium water!

Nature knows what is good for water. With Curcurbita, a purely plant-based element is introduced into the aquarium that naturally contributes to improving water quality.
The dried fruit husk of this small ornamental pumpkin (Cucurbita spec.) releases natural humic substances and tannins into the aquarium water over a period of several weeks. These substances play a central role in many tropical habitats. They stabilise the pH value, have a naturally mild antibacterial effect, promote the mucous membrane function of the fish and create a mild, natural black water environment. Shrimps, young fish and sensitive species in particular benefit from these changes. The water chemistry is not changed abruptly, but very gradually, just as nature intended.
In addition to its water-improving effect, Curcurbita is also visually appealing.
The richly structured surface and natural shape make it an eye-catcher in the aquarium and create a biotope-like environment.
Curcurbita can also be used in many ways for decoration in paludaria or terraria.
As it is a natural product, size, colour and structure vary individually. When stored in a dry place, Curcurbita has an unlimited shelf life.

Application:

Simply place in the aquarium. The Curcurbita will begin to sink after a short time and slowly unfold its effect. We recommend 1–2 pieces for a tank volume of 50 litres. It should be replaced after about 4 weeks.
