Desert Bloom

Our Desert Bloom (Selaginella spec.) is a natural product from the moss fern family. It is harvested exclusively in regions where nature is still untouched, far away from human intervention and pollutants. What makes Desert Bloom so special?
Desert Bloom is not a flowering plant, but a primitive spore plant that survives in arid regions and unfolds its amazing properties when it comes into contact with water.
In aquariums, it naturally helps to create optimal water conditions, stable values and a natural environment.
Its unique appearance is reminiscent of the natural habitats of many ornamental fish and invertebrates.
It continuously releases humic substances and natural tannins into the water. These promote a slightly acidic, soft environment, support the health and vitality of the animals and at the same time inhibit the growth of unwanted germs. The water takes on a light and natural amber colour, as found in the native waters of many tropical species.
Shrimps, crabs and catfish also benefit from Desert Bloom. They use the fine surfaces as grazing areas, a valuable natural source of food.
When stored in a dry place, Desert Bloom has an unlimited shelf life.
The moss fern heads are also ideal for use as decoration in terraria, adding accents and creating a natural biotope.
As this is a purely natural product, the shape, colour and size may vary slightly. Each Desert Bloom is truly unique.

Application:

Place the Desert Bloom directly into the aquarium water.
After a short time, it will begin to sink and release its natural active ingredients. For a tank volume of 50 litres, 2 to 3 pieces are sufficient, depending on the desired water colour and effect. It should be replaced after about 3–4 weeks.
